İZMİR, TÜRKİYE · SINCE 1983

Four decades of
furniture, made to
one standard.

Orpak is a furniture manufacturer, not a workshop. We process 3,000 m² of board a day across 25,000 m² under roof, we run the whole plant on solar energy, and we ship to more than twenty countries under our own brand and under our customers'.

What we do

We make the furniture other people put their name on.

Orpak Mobilya İnşaat Sanayi ve Ticaret A.Ş. has manufactured panel furniture in İzmir since 1983. Wardrobes, beds, bedside units, desks, storage and complete room programmes, all engineered, machined, finished and packed as retail-ready flat-pack in one continuous flow, on one site.

01

Own brand

Caploonba, founded in 2004, is our baby, children's and youth room brand, with 150 sales points in Türkiye and concept stores in 20 countries. Four decades of production experience stand behind every programme.

02

Private label & OEM

We manufacture to your specification and your brand: your construction, your hardware list, your packaging, your market's assembly manuals and labelling. Series volumes with a repeatable specification, order after order.

03

Contract & project

Hospitality, residential development and fit-out volumes where the same unit has to be produced hundreds of times to the same tolerance, delivered on a schedule that does not move.

Production

Three thousand square metres of board.
Every working day.

Everything Orpak makes begins as a stack of panel. What happens between that stack and a sealed carton is the whole business: cutting, edging, machining, finishing and packing, at a rhythm that has to stay identical from the first panel of an order to the last one, forty weeks later.

2100 × 2800 mm RAW PANEL · E1 CLASS OFFCUT OPTIMISED NESTING · AUTOMATED BEAM SAW band, trim, buff: in line AUTOMATIC EDGE BANDING DRILLED & CNC-MACHINED TO THE FITTING 3,000 m² OF BOARD, EVERY WORKING DAY ONE CONTINUOUS FLOW, ONE ROOF
01 · The board

It starts with the panel.

Chipboard, MDF and laminated panel in E1 class, bought to a written specification from audited suppliers and checked on arrival for thickness, flatness, surface and moisture. Everything downstream inherits whatever this material is, which is why it is the one line we never buy on price alone.

02 · Cutting

Cut to the millimetre. And to the metre.

Automated beam saws work from an optimised nesting plan: the parts of a programme are laid out across the board so the offcut is as small as the geometry allows. The tolerance on part number one and part number four thousand is the same. That is what lets a repeat order behave exactly like the first one.

03 · Edging

The edge is where discipline shows.

Automatic edge banding with continuous adhesive and temperature control; the band is applied, trimmed and buffed in one pass, matched to the surface it sits against. It is the most-handled centimetre of any piece of furniture: the first place a buyer's hand goes, and the first place a shortcut would be visible.

04 · Machining

Holes cut to the fitting, not to the drawing.

Drilling and CNC work from the hardware list: pattern, depth and diameter machined for the fitting that will actually go in, with routed profiles and reliefs added in the same flow. It is why a drawer that runs cleanly on our line runs cleanly in a flat in Rotterdam, assembled by someone reading a diagram.

05 · Volume

One roof, one flow.

25,000 m² under roof running one continuous flow from the board store to the packing line. Scale is not a boast; it is what makes a promise keepable: enough capacity to take a container programme and deliver it on the agreed week, at the agreed specification, for as long as the programme runs.

The plant

Same ground since 1983.
Never the same factory twice.

One site in Torbalı, İzmir. Board store, cutting, banding, machining, finishing, assembly and packing under the same roof, so a problem found at final control is a walk across the floor, not a phone call to a subcontractor.

Materials & precision

Quality lives in the tolerance.

Panel furniture is an assembly of parts that were never in the same place at the same time until a customer put them together. It only works if the board, the hole pattern and the hardware were specified together and machined to one reference.

Boards

E1-class, low emission

We build on E1-classified wood-based panel with controlled formaldehyde emission, from audited suppliers and against a written specification, not on whatever is available that week. Decor, thickness and core are chosen per programme, not per delivery.

Hardware

Chosen to outlive the guarantee

Soft-close hinges and runners, metal-to-metal connections where the load asks for them, and anti-tip fixings supplied with every tall unit. Spare parts stay available long after a programme leaves the catalogue.

Control

Checked three times, not once

Incoming material inspection, in-line checks at cutting, banding and drilling, and a final control before the carton is closed, backed by durability, stability and pinch-gap testing on the finished product before a programme is released.

Panel thickness checked with a caliper before the next operation

Surfaces

Four ways to finish a panel.

Which surface a programme gets is a design and a price decision, not a quality ranking. We run all four to the same standard, including Coolor, our own powder-coating system, and we will tell you plainly which one fits your market, your price point and the shape you have drawn.

07 Melamine surface Macro of the surface, raking light so the texture reads. 3:2, min 1600 px. foto/yuzey-melamin.jpg
01

Melamine

The workhorse of panel furniture, and deservedly so: hard, scratch- and moisture-resistant, colour-stable over years, and available in hundreds of decors from woodgrain to solid. Most of what leaves this factory is built on it.

08 Laminate & foil surface Wrapped profile or textured face, macro. 3:2. foto/yuzey-laminat.jpg
02

Laminate & foil

Deeper textures and wrapped profiles than a flat pressed face allows, over the same panel construction. The route to a warmer or more tactile look without changing what the furniture is made of.

09 Lacquer surface High-gloss or deep-matte front at an angle that shows the reflection. 3:2. foto/yuzey-lake.jpg
03

Lacquer

Sprayed and cured finish for high-gloss and deep-matte fronts, colour-matched to your reference. The established way to a premium front, and still the right answer for a lot of programmes.

04 · Our own system

Powder coating on MDF

Coolor is the powder-coating system we run in-house. Dry pigment powder is given an electrostatic charge, sprayed onto a grounded MDF part and cured in the oven. Because the coating follows the part instead of being cut to fit it, a shaped panel with soft radii, chamfers, integrated grips and routed reliefs comes out wrapped in one continuous surface, face and edge in the same colour and the same pass.

The process is dry: no solvents, no solvent emission, no solvent waste stream, and overspray captured and returned. We built the line because it opens shapes the other three finishes cannot follow, and because a surface a child touches every day deserves to be tested as carefully as a toy.

Sustainability

Everything we make is made by the sun.

Our production energy comes entirely from solar. It is not an offset purchased at the end of the year and it is not a pilot on one roof; it is how the factory runs, every shift, on every line.

Wood

Sourced, then replaced

We work with audited suppliers and chain-of-custody documentation for the timber we consume, and we plant against what we use.

Process

Less waste by design

Optimised nesting reduces offcut at the saw; powder overspray is recovered and reused; solvent-free finishing removes an entire waste stream.

People & compliance

Audited, not asserted.

International buyers do not take a supplier's word for how it treats its people, and they should not have to. We work to a written social compliance policy, hold ISO 45001 for occupational health and safety, and give every person who joins us the personnel handbook and the occupational health and safety booklet on day one, in writing, not as folklore. Buyer audits are welcome; the documentation is ready before you ask for it.

Workplace

Documented, trained, inspected

Health and safety procedures are written down, trained and checked under an ISO 45001 management system. Working conditions, hours and wages are recorded and open to buyer audit.

Supply chain

Suppliers held to the same line

Board and hardware suppliers are selected against written criteria and keep a documented quality file with us: FSC, ISO 9001, ISO 14001, CARB P2, TSCA Title VI and the relevant EN panel standards.

Documentation

Ready for your buyer's file

Technical files, test reports, declarations of conformity and market-specific assembly manuals are prepared as part of the order, not chased after the container has shipped.

Certifications & standards

The paperwork behind the promise.

Nothing here is a claim we make about ourselves. Every line below is a document with an issuing body, a number and a validity date, and we send the current copies for your supplier qualification and customs file.
